HOURS
The pools open Memorial Day weekend and close on or after Labor Day weekend (weather permitting).  The pools may occasionally be closed during the pool season due to inclement weather or due to our Fox Hills Swim Team events.
  • During Bloomfield Hills school days
    • M-F: 4:00 pm-9pm
    • Sat/Sun: 12pm-9pm
  • During Bloomfield Hills Schools summer break (typically mid-June)
    • 12pm-9pm every day

WHEN ENTERING POOL GROUNDS
  • Residents are encouraged to walk or ride bikes.   Bike racks are provided at the north east of the parking lot.
  • Drive slowly and park responsibly.  Keep in mind children are always present.
  • If lot is full, parking should be limited to the east side of the road (opposite of the clubhouse)
POOL RULES (these are only an abbreviated version of the rules.  Please see the By-Laws for more specifics)
  • Use of the pools are limited to when the lifeguards are on duty.
  • Every member must check in at the guard shack counter facing the parking lot.
  • There is a non-resident guest fee of $5.00 for entering the pool area. Resident hosts must be present with their guests in the pool area.
  • Resident children who are 10 years and older may be admitted to the pool area without parents or a babysitter.
  • Any children under 10 in the pool area must be accompanied at all times by a responsible person 14 or older.
  • Grandchildren ages 17 and younger of residents will be admitted at no charge with the resident grandparent.  Grandparents of residents' children will also be admitted at no charge with a resident family member. Non-resident parents of grandchildren of residents will pay the $5.00 guest fee per person. Non-resident children and grandchildren ages 18 and older will pay the $5.00 guest fee per person.
  • No glass of any kind is allowed in the pool area.
  • Pets are not allowed within the pool area during the regular season. We do occasionally have a doggy dip at the end of the season.
  • Smoking/vaping is only allowed in the parking lot and not in the pool area.
  • Infants and toddlers who are not trained must wear "swimmer" diapers or cloth diapers with tight fitting rubber pants in the pools.
  • Alcohol is permitted at our pools by patrons 21 and older (just not in glass and not in the pool itself).
  • We allow residents to have many types of pool toys/flotation aides and at the lifeguards' discretion to revoke should it become a safety issue.  Squirt guns are not allowed though to ensure the enjoyment of others.
  • Forward diving (no flips) is only allowed in the 9ft area of the competition pool.
  • Pool parties may be held at the pool.  If during regular pool hours, the charge is $5.00 per guest. There is a $150 "Unlimited Guest" fee for parties should the resident choose. This becomes beneficial if expecting over 30 non-resident guests for a specific event. If a resident member would like to have the use of the pool after hours (9PM-12AM), they must talk to the pool manager about lifeguard availability (it would require 3). If available, the resident member must pay each lifeguard $15 per hour (3hrs maximum plus 30-minute cleanup time), in addition to the $5.00 per guest fee.  Parties must be scheduled with the Pool Manager and only our staff lifeguards can be used.
  • We have fun community events at our pools. Refer to the Fox Tales for pool events scheduled.

BABYSITTERS
We know that many residents work during the summer but want their children to enjoy all that is offered within our community. Because of that, we make special allowances for babysitters at the pool area. All we require is that
babysitters be at least 14 years old and non-resident babysitters need to be registered with the lifeguards by the resident parents. Babysitters will be admitted at no charge while they are babysitting resident children.
